The Stars advanced to the NAIA World Series by capturing the NAIA Championship Opening Round Oklahoma City Bracket using three consecutive shutouts over the weekend. Third-ranked OCU (47-10) meets Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) at 9 p.m. CDT May 25 in Lewiston, Idaho.

After earning his bachelor's in information technology, Carman has been working towards a master's in business administration. His undergraduate grade-point average was a 3.97, while his graduate GPA is a 4.00. Carman is an NAIA scholar-athlete award winner and two-time Jim Wade Award winner as OCU's male student-athlete of the year.

Off the field, Fisher has posted a 3.67 GPA while majoring in biology. Fisher became an NAIA scholar-athlete award winner.
Academic all-district selections were chosen based on a minimum 3.30 GPA and sophomore status in athletic eligibility. The nominees are then voted on by district sports information directors. First-team all-district honorees have the distinction of being nominated for all-American honors, set to be announced May 29.
