OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University has added Alissa Reed of Fort Worth, Texas to its women’s soccer team.

Reed, a goalkeeper, posted 12 shutouts and a 0.44 goals-against average for Fort Worth Nolan Catholic (Texas). Reed joins Meghan McMahon of Putnam City North as future Stars.

“She’ll be a great fit at OCU,” OCU assistant Billy Martin said. “She’ll probably back up Brittany Tibbs at goalkeeper this year. We believe after a year, she could take over there. She brings a lot of experience playing in the Dallas area, and that’s a very competitive level of play there.”

Reed said, “An opportunity to play at a school with great academics and a great atmosphere such as OCU helped me make my decision.”

McMahon, an Oklahoman all-city performer, signed her letter of intent to play for the Stars in the fall.

OCU went 11-7-1 and advanced to the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament championship match.
