OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University assistant soccer coach Billy Martin has been named the Oklahoma Soccer Association state boys competitive youth coach of the year.
Martin has been coaching youth soccer since 1990 and is in his second year with the Oklahoma Football Club ‘92. Martin will be given his award Jan. 23, 2010 at the Sheraton Hotel, 1 N. Broadway Avenue in Oklahoma City.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University soccer coach Brian Harvey has been selected to the Oklahoma Soccer Association Hall of Fame class of 2010.
Harvey has captured the most men’s and women’s victories of any soccer coach in NAIA history. He has coached the soccer programs at OCU since their inception. The men began in 1986, while the women started in 1994.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sarah Leonard of Oklahoma City University has been named an NAIA women’s soccer honorable-mention all-American, announced by the NAIA on Friday.
Leonard, a senior from West Yorkshire, England, became a two-time all-American after being named honorable mention as a sophomore.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University’s Sarah Burnett, Alex Miley and Brittany Tibbs each were named NAIA women’s soccer scholar-athletes, announced by the NAIA recently.
Award winners must hold a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point-average and be a junior or senior in academic standing.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sarah Leonard of Oklahoma City University has been named Sooner Athletic Conference women’s soccer offensive player of the year announced Saturday.
Leonard and defender Brenna Skillern made first-team all-conference, while goalkeeper Brittany Tibbs, midfielder Malin Andersson and defender Josefine Holmgren were selected to the second team.

BETHANY, Okla. – Oklahoma City University’s season came to an end in a 3-1 loss at Southern Nazarene in the championship game of the Sooner Athletic Conference women’s soccer tournament on Friday night at Harmon Field.
The Stars finished the season with an 11-7-1 record.

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – Oklahoma City University cruised by No. 1-seeded John Brown (Ark.) 3-0 in the semifinals of the Sooner Athletic Conference women’s soccer tournament Tuesday afternoon.
The Stars (11-6-1) will travel to face Southern Nazarene on Friday in the championship game of the SAC tournament. Game time is still pending.

Leonard, a senior from West Yorkshire, England, had three goals in two matches, including a hat trick in the SAC Tournament – a 4-3 win at USAO.

CHICKASHA, Okla. – Sarah Leonard scored three goals, including the game winner in overtime to lead Oklahoma City University to a 4-3 win at USAO on Saturday afternoon in the first round of the Sooner Athletic Conference women’s tournament.
Leonard, a senior from West Yorkshire, England, scored two goals in the second half and one in overtime to keep the Stars alive in postseason play. Leonard leads the team with 22.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University’s women’s soccer team will face USAO at 1 p.m. Saturday in Chickasha, Okla., in the opening round of the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament.
OCU finished the regular season in fifth place in the conference with a 9-6-1 record overall.
