LEWISTON, Idaho – Jason Machado of Oklahoma City University earned all-tournament honors in the NAIA World Series.
Machado, a senior outfielder from Frisco, Texas, hit .412 with a double and five RBIs in the Stars' four games in Lewiston, Idaho.
During the postseason, Machado hit .345 with three doubles, a homer and 10 RBIs.
This year, Machado hit .377 with 17 doubles, 21 homers and 85 RBIs. He was second on the team in RBIs, on-base percentage (.498) and slugging percentage (.779). Among the NAIA, Machado ranked 13th in RBIs a game and 19th in homers per game.
The Stars finished tied for third in the NAIA World Series. OCU (53-9) won its Championship Opening-Round Tournament and ran its streak of 50-win seasons to 11.
