Baleigh Garner joined that OCU volleyball program as assistant coach in 2022. She has coached at the club, high school, and collegiate levels, and has experience playing at both the NCAA Division II and NAIA levels.
Garner was tabbed Sooner Athletic Conference Assistant Coach of the Year in the 2024 season.
Garner started her playing career at NCAA Division II University of Central Oklahoma as a defensive specialist. After her freshman year, she transferred to Southwestern Christian University, where she played under current OCU head coach Kristen Coventon. A standout player at SCU as a libero, Garner was named SAC Defensive Player of the Week five times, as well as being named to the SAC All-Conference team. She also holds the all-time dig record at SCU with 1,552.
Before coming to OCU, she was the head volleyball coach at Casady High School. At OCU, Garner is charged with coaching the setters, as well as focusing on managing the defense. Baleigh and husband Aaron were married in 2022.
