Former collegiate head coach Quinn Wooldridge arrives at Oklahoma City University for his first season as top assistant to Kevin Morrissey.
Wooldridge led University of the Southwest (N.M.) in its inaugural season of men’s basketball last season. In 2008-09, Wooldridge led University of the Southwest to a 9-21 season and coached fourth all-conference selections. Southwest finished fifth in the Red River Athletic Conference. Wooldridge has been an assistant at Wayland Baptist (Texas), Eastern Oklahoma State, Lyon (Ark.), Oklahoma Baptist and Missouri Baptist.
Wooldridge also spent two seasons as head boys basketball coach at McAlester High School.
Morrissey and Wooldridge were teammates at Oklahoma Baptist, which advanced to the NAIA Division I championship game during their time there.
After playing at Oklahoma Baptist from 1995-99, Wooldridge ranks third in program history at Oklahoma Baptist with 1,886 career points and holds career and season records for 3-pointers made and attempted. Wooldridge played for two Sooner Athletic Conference championship teams and made second-team all-SAC as a senior. From McAlester, Okla., Wooldridge is the son of former Eastern coach Clyde Wooldridge.
Wooldridge is married (Andy). The couple have two children, Michal, 6, and Lucas, 3.
