Mikey Malone joined the Oklahoma City University men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach in September 2025 after serving as a graduate assistant at the University of North Texas in the 2024-25 season.
Malone also served UNT as a student assistant and received the 2024 Texas Association of Basketball Coaches D1 Student Assistant of the Year. He was head student manager from 2021-24. After five years as a Dallas Mavericks Ballkid, Malone worked as a camp coach for three years and served as a Mavs Foundation summer intern in 2024. In the summer of 2025, Malone was a basketball operations intern.
A native of Murphy, Texas, Malone is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
