Jeff Duke will bring previous head-coaching experience and knowledge of the Sooner Athletic Conference to the Oklahoma City University bench. Previously, Duke guided St. Gregory’s women’s basketball program for three seasons.
At USAO, Duke spent two stints as an assistant coach. He aided Jay Niehues in leading USAO to the NAIA Division I Tournament semifinals in the program’s first national-tournament appearance.
Duke has served as Athletic Director for Basketball with the People to People Sports Ambassadors program competing at the Youth Friendship Games in Austria for the last three years. As part of his duties, he was responsible for recruiting coaches, implementation of the training camp and onsite supervision and management of all coaches and athletes placed under his direction.
For 16 years, Jeff has coached summer traveling teams that competed throughout the United States. In 2005, he brought home a National Championship and a Junior Olympic gold medal with the Air Oklahoma Stars and the Oklahoma Pride. In the summer of 2007, Jeff traveled to Holland and coached the girl’s 16-18 age division for the People to People Sports Ambassadors program.
Duke holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Sterling (Kan.).
