Eli Burk is entering his second season as an assistant coach for Oklahoma City University Men's Basketball.
Before coming to OCU, Burk spent three seasons at Benedictine Mesa (NAIA) as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach and Game Management Coordinator for the athletic department. Burk helped the Redhawks win the Cal Pac Conference Tournament during the shortened 2021 season and make the NAIA National Tournament in 2021 and 2022. The Redhawks were 1 of 29 teams to make back-to-back national tournaments during that time frame. Six different players were given All-Cal Pac Conference honors during Burk's time at Benedictine Mesa, including 2021 NAIA All-American Honorable Mention Maurice Walton. The Redhawks had three program alumni go on to sign professional contracts during Burk's 3 seasons with the program.
Prior to Benedictine Mesa, Burk coached at St. Joseph High School in Santa Maria, California from 2017-2019. Burk coached with all three levels and played a role in the off-season development programs for each team. During this time, Burk joined the staff for 1 Dream Hoops foundation. He assisted with running youth camps in Santa Maria and traveled to China to provide coaching clinics and youth camps in Shenzhen, Guangdong. Burk was elevated in 2019 to director of junior high programs and tournaments, overseeing the 1 Dream Hoops junior high tournaments for both boys and girls teams in northern Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
Burk graduated from Arizona State University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in community sports management before obtaining his master's degree in Sport Coaching from West Virginia University in 2021.
