Oklahoma City – Ayenew Devany of Oklahoma City and Jagger Jay of Mid-America Christian have been named this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Digital Scoreboards Men's Outdoor Track Athletes of the Week for their efforts this past week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.
 
Devany took part in the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational and earned a top finish in the 5000-meter run. His time of 14:47.45 was good enough for first in the event by over 13 seconds. His time is the second-best in the conference thus far this spring.
 
Other Nominees - Hagen Darney, Nelson, Case Drum, Wayland Baptist, Lucky Maila, Mid-America Christian, and Kamarion Norton, Langston.
 
Jay had a historic day at the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational as he set a new school record in two events. Jay placed second in the pole vault with a new school mark of 4.15m, which is third in the conference this spring. Jay also set a new program mark in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.46.
