OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City opens its outdoor track and field season this weekend at the OBU All-Comers Meet in Shawnee.

The meet is on Friday and Saturday, with most running events on Saturday.

Previously: Oklahoma City finished a surprising NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships in 14
th place for the women's team and 25
th for the men. OCU brought home 16 All-America honors with
Erika Pena getting three of those.
Florencia Cabrera and
Isabella Gutierrez earned two All-America awards for the women and Dmarion Dean had two for the men. Gutierrez, Cabrera, Isabelle Spiler and Pena placed third in the 4x800 relay in 9:07.52. Pena was sixth in the mile run at 4:53.39 and
Kenzi Readnour also earned All-America status with a sixth-place finish in the 5000 meters at 17:29.41. Cabrera,Â
Vanessa Perez, Gutierrez and Pena placed fourth in the distance medley relay at 11:48.12. The OCU women finished 14
th with 20 points and the men finished with 10 points Dean was eighth in the 600 meters and joinedÂ

Home Away From Home: OCU owns two facility records at Oklahoma Baptist. The men's 4x800 relay team set the facility record of 7:45.64 in 2015. Zouhair Talbi set the men's 8K record of 24:21.70 at OBU in 2021.
