OKLAHOMA CITY – Fourth-ranked Oklahoma City is on the road for six Sooner Athletic Conference games this week, visiting Langston on Wednesday for two games before heading to Texas to play Nelson in a four-game weekend set.
 
The Stars play at LU at 4 and 6 p.m. The Stars and NU play doubleheaders at Nelson at 2 p.m. on Friday and at noon on Saturday.

Previously: Oklahoma City completed the four-game sweep over visiting Texas Wesleyan with a pair of run-rule victories on Saturday, 8-0 and 9-1. The Stars improved to 23-3 overall and 12-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Brynlee Alsip picked up her third win of the series in the opener. Analise Rayburn was walked four times on Saturday but drove in six runs in her two at-bats with a two-run double and a grand slam.
 
The Streak: The Stars enter the week on a 16-game winning streak. The Stars are batting .438 during the streak while their opponents are hitting .207. Four OCU starters, Analise Rayburn (.674), Tara Hoehner (.568), Hadley Gibson (.538) and Spidell (.500) are hitting .500 or better during the run. Rayburn has 14 home runs and 48 RBIs in those 16 games. Brynlee Alsip is 10-0 with a 0.77 earned run average during the streak.
 
Against the SAC: OCU is batting .444 against the SAC, again with four starters hitting .500 or better in those 12 games. Analise Rayburn is hitting .710 with 10 home runs and 32 RBIs. Tara Hoehner is hitting .588, Kaiden Spidell is at .548 and Hadley Gibson is batting .525 against the league. Brynlee Alsip is 8-0 with a 0.76 ERA in those 12 games.
 
On the Road: The Stars are 4-0 in true road games this season with a sweep at Panhandle State.  The Stars are batting .433 and carry a 1.52 earned run average in road games.
 
Honors: Oklahoma City swept the Sooner Athletic Conference honors on Monday with Analise Rayburn and Brynlee Alsip getting Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.  Rayburn claimed her third weekly award by leading the Stars to a 4-0 record last week by going 5-of-6 at the plate for an average of .833. Rayburn had a double and three home runs over the span while driving in nine runs and scoring eight times herself. Rayburn also drew eight walks during the week. She finished with a 2.500 slugging percentage and a .929 on-base percentage. Alsip earned her third weekly honor by garnering three wins last week over Texas Wesleyan. Alsip surrendered only two runs, with neither of those being earned, and had two strikeouts over the span. Alsip wrapped up the week with a WHIP of .75 and a .88 strikeouts per seven innings.
 
Hitting: OCU carries a .387 batting average and a 1.061 OPS into the week. Four Stars are hitting above .450 for the season, led by Analise Rayburn at .488 with 16 home runs and 60 RBIs. Hadley Gibson bats .481, Tara Hoehner is hitting .455 and Kaiden Spidell checks in at .452.
 
Pitching: The Stars have a 1.77 team earned run average led by Brynlee Alsip, who is 14-2 with a 0.89 ERA. Teams are hitting .226 against OCU this season.
 
On the Bases: OCU is 63 of 70 (90 percent) in stolen bases this season. Hadley Gibson is 14 of 15 and her freshman classmate Gabby Moreno is 12 for 12.
 
Leaders: As a team, the Stars lead the NAIA with a .607 slugging percentage and top the Sooner Athletic Conference in hitting (.387), home runs (25), runs (220), ERA (1.77) and fielding percentage (966). Rayburn leads the NAIA with 16 home runs and 60 RBIs. Rayburn (.488), Hadley Gibson (.481), Tara Hoehner (.455) and Kaiden Spidell (.452) are second through fifth in the SAC in batting average. Hoehner is fourth with 30 RBIs and Gibson is fifth at 23.
 
Last Year vs. Langston: The Stars took all four games in the series last year by a combined score of 45-5.
 
About LU: The Lions are 6-8 overall and 1-7 in the Sooner Athletic Conference after dropping three of four at Mid-American Christian last weekend. LU hits .305 as a team, led by Meilani Butts at .425 and Adlemi Rodriguez at .405.
 
Last Year vs. Nelson: While the Stars took all four games of the series last year, there were two one-run games in the mix.
 
About NU: The Lions are 15-11 overall and 8-4 in the Sooner Athletic Conference after splitting four home games with Wayland Baptist over the weekend. The Lions are hitting .282 as a team, paced by Elena Mendez at .351. Mendez also leads the team with a 2.44 earned run average. As a staff, NU carries a 3.82 ERA.
