Trent Baker: 3-4, 2 R, RBI, HR, BB
During the first two innings, both teams found themselves onto the scoreboard. OCU struck first when
Trent Baker connected on a solo shot that sailed over the Jim Wade Stadium scoreboard in left field. Following the solo shot by Baker, MACU tallied a run in the top half of the second inning to tie the game; two errors, a hit batter, and a walk aided the Evangels in scoring their run.Â
In the third inning, MACU scratched across another run when they collected four hits in the inning. After the third inning, neither team scored a run for the next three innings as the pitching for both teams settled onto the mound.Â
Excitement returned in the seventh inning when the Evangels amassed another run. The Stars answered with the game's first crooked number when they scored two runs after wild pitches and a throwing error on a throw-out attempt at second scored
Cooper Holtorf.
Aiden Van Rensum followed the Evangel's mishaps up with a clutch RBI double, scoring Baker to tie the game at 3-3.
The eighth and ninth innings were owned by MACU where they scored the game's final five runs. Ultimately, Oklahoma City fell 8-3 after remaining competitive throughout Friday's ballgame. The Stars have now lost three straight games against the Evangels.Â
