BRANSON – Oklahoma City completed its 4-0 stay in Branson with a pair of wins on Saturday, crushing Avila 13-1 and defeating Morningside 4-3.

Oklahoma City scored two runs in each of the first two innings, added a fifth run in the fourth inning and then exploded for eight in the seventh.

OCU had 13 hits in the game, led by
Analise Rayburn and
Iliana Ashford with three each.
Carlee Mollett and
Jessica Phares had two each.
Â
Rayburn had three RBIs with
Tara Hoehner and Phares adding two each.
Hadley Gibson,
Kaiden Spidell, Ashford and Mollett each had one.

Brynlee Alsip picked up the pitching win and
McKenna Snyder threw three scoreless innings in relief.

OCU 4, Morningside 3
The Stars trailed 2-0 before scoring twice on a passed ball in the bottom of the first.

Morningside got a 3-2 lead in the top of the fifth but the Stars pushed across two runs in the home half of the inning. Gibson was hit by a pitch and stole second before scoring on a double by Ashford. After Hoehner bunted Ashford to third, Rayburn came through with the game-winning RBI on a single to center.

OCU had six hits, including doubles by Gibson and Ashford.

Kindalyn Miller got the pitching win with
Morgandee Sawatzky picking up the save with two scoreless innings of relief.

The Stars are back in action next weekend when Wayland Baptist visits Ann Lacy Stadium for a four-game Sooner Athletic Conference set. The doubleheaders begin at 2 p.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday.
