OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City came from behind and claimed its opening Sooner Athletic Conference series with a 5-2 win over Central Christian on Saturday.

Trent Baker (1-1) struck out six, allowed five hits and two runs in the complete-game victory for OCU. He allowed a two-run home run in the third inning for the lone blemish.

OCU broke up the shutout in the sixth when
Aiden Van Rensum doubled and later scored on a fielder's choice by
Clayton Allen.

The Stars tied the game in the eighth when
Heath Brown laid down a perfect bunt with bases loaded for an RBI single.

OCU scored three in the top of the ninth on an error, another bases-loaded bunt by
Wyatt Pace for an RBI, and a run-scoring balk.

The Stars finished the game with nine hits, including two each by Pace, Van Rensum and
Aiden Alexander.

OCU returns to action at home on Tuesday, taking on 12
th-ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan at 1 p.m.
