OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City kept its postseason hopes alive with a 68-65 overtime win over Wayland Baptist on Thursday.

Sunishka Kartik buried a three-pointer with six seconds left in regulation to push the game to extra time.

The Flying Queens took an early overtime lead and had a four-point edge, but the Stars took the lead for good with 54 seconds left on a basket by Kartik.

OCU forced three missed Wayland Baptist shots in the final minute.

Amanda Sene Da Cruz sank a pair of free throws for the final margin and the Flying Queens missed a long three-pointer at the buzzer.

"It was a lot of fun," said OC Head Coach
Alexis Lawrence. "We had a lot of ups and downs, but we stuck together through all the adversity."

The victory keeps OCU two wins back of the postseason chase in ninth place with three games remaining.

Jerzie Bryan led OCU with 14 points and six assists. Kartik had 13 points and four steals and Sene Da Cruz finished with a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.

OCU wraps up the home portion of the regular season on Saturday, hosting Oklahoma Panhandle State at 2 p.m.
