OCU Sends Off Seniors with Win

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City wrapped up its home regular-season schedule with a 54-44 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State on Senior Day.

Before the game, OCU honored its seniors Akajia Handsom, Sunishka Kartik and Amanda Sene Da Cruz.

While Handsom missed the season with injury, Kartik and Sene Da Cruz went out with strong performances. Kartik had a season-best 12 rebounds while Sene Da Cruz led the team with 16 points.

Panhandle took its only lead midway through the second quarter but the Stars closed the half on an 11-2 run and never trailed again.

The OCU lead peaked at 54-42 with 2:52 remaining when Monica Devine added a free throw to the team's total.
