OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City got a bounce-back win on Saturday, defeating John Brown in three sets in Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball action.

The Stars won 25-21, 25-19, 25-20, to gain a weekend SAC split and stay in the top four of the league.

OCU used a 5-0 run to build a 19-12 lead in the opening set and
Bailey Lowder ended it with a kill.

Lowder and
Erin Mack led the Stars on a 5-0 run to open the second set, each player with two kills. The Golden Eagles got within a point before OCU rolled off four unanswered points, including two blocks by
Amber Jones.

The Stars finished off the final set when, up by just a point, OCU scored the final four points, including a block and two kills by
Kacie Townsend to close out the match.

Townsend led the Stars with 14 kills with
Rylie Steward getting 33 assists. Steward led OCU with 14 digs while
Ryan Leland added 12 and
Katelyn Stephenson picked up 10. Jones was part of four blocks and Townsend was in on three.

Now 15-5 overall and 9-5 in the SAC, OCU visits Langston for a 6 p.m. match on Tuesday.
