OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City blew an early lead but used a 17-6 run to re-establish itself in the second half on the way to an 81-62 victory over Central Christian on Saturday.

The Stars, which struggled to score in the first half in the game at CCC earlier this season, scored 15 points in the first four and a half minutes on Saturday to take a 15-0 lead.
Jonas Carlisle had five points in that early flurry.

But CCC fought back and by halftime had narrowed the lead to four points, 43-39.

The Tigers tied the game at 43-43 after 41 seconds in the second half, but the Stars rebounded and built a 60-49 lead on that 17-6 spree.
JD Gross scored eight points and Carlisle added seven in that run.

The lead swelled from there and
Jackson Hopps scored a bucket for the biggest lead, 81-57, with two minutes to go.

Carlisle led the Stars with 24 points, followed by Gross with 15 and Hopps with 14.

Alphonse Muteba led OCU with 12 rebounds and
Brian Alexander dished seven assists.

The Stars are back in action on Monday, hosting USAO in a make-up game at 8 p.m.
