OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City celebrated its seniors on Sunday with a 40-5 victory over Carl Albert State College.
 
The Stars' lone loss came in the form of a forfeit at 117. OCU benefited from a forfeit at 103 with Sofia Abramson gaining the win.
 
OCU had four pins in the dual. No. 13 Bryce White won in 25 seconds at 131 pounds, No. 18 Natalia Posada pinned her opponent in 1:42 at 131, at 180 pounds, Symphony Veloz won in 26 seconds and tenth-ranked Ella Murphey got her pin in 57 seconds for the victory at 207.
 
The Stars also had three technical falls. No. 15 Corin Lowe won 12-0 in 1:18 at 145 pounds, defeating No. 3 (at 138) Samantha Graciano. Makayla Munoz, ranked 16^th at 160 pounds, got a 10-0 win in 2:10. Third-ranked Avery Jansing skunked her opponent. 11^th-ranked Isabella Salas, in 42 seconds, 10-0, at 110 pounds.
 
Wachipi Hamelryck decisioned 10^th-ranked Madison Row for the OCU win at 124 pounds, 6-4, to open the match.
 
"It's exciting when we get the chance to come home and wrestle in front of our fans and have a good crowd," said OCU Head Coach William McKinney. "Especially with this being Senior Night, having them come out and support us. Some of the girls haven't been able to wrestle in front of their families before. We're just happy for the girls, getting to showcase what they do and how they work and practice all the time."
 
Next up for the Stars is a trip to Texas Wesleyan on Jan. 28.
