Wrestler of the Week: OCU's John Wiley earned Sooner Athletic Conference and NAIA Wrestler of the Week after his 5-0 performance at the NWCA Dual Nationals. The 165-pounder posted three wins by fall, including victories over No. 4 Antwaun Burns (2:36) and No. 20 Brayden Forman (2:16). He recorded a win by major decision over No. 13 Avant Stepherson (12-0), and battled to a win by decision against No. 10 Malachia Harris (5-3). 
 
Previously: Sixth-ranked Oklahoma City finished seventh at the NWCA National Duals Championship, going 1-1 on Saturday. The Stars lost to fifth-ranked Southern Oregon, 25-15, before finishing the tournament with a 29-11 win over No. 12 Cumberlands. Kaden Fetterolf and John Wiley each went 2-0 on Saturday to finish the weekend at 4-0. Fetterolf, ranked fourth at 149 pounds, scored 15-0 technical fall over eleventh-ranked Kolten Malone of Southern Oregon and got a decision in the Cumberlands match. Third-ranked Wiley won his 157-pound matches with a major decision over No. 13 Avant Stepherson and a decision against tenth-ranked Malachia Harris. Vincent Citrano (133), Jordan Lomeli (165), Jace Province (141), Jake Moon (157), Cole Olguin (184), Omari Smith (187) and Rafael Lovato (285) picked up one win each on Saturday. Lomeli, ranked sixth, defeated 17^th-ranked Cole Zoller in sudden victory, 7-4. Citrano finished the weekend with four wins and Lovato had three.
 
New Guy: Rafael Lovato made his debut with the Stars last week. The 42-year-old jiu-jitsu master went 3-2 at the NWCA Nationals, squaring off against nationally ranked teams.
 
Rankings: New rankings come out on Thursday but the Stars are currently ranked sixth. Oklahoma City's Tate Picklo has the NAIA's top ranking in the 174-pound class. The Stars remained sixth in the national team ranking with Picklo moving up from second in his weight class. Also for the Stars, Cash Donnell is ninth and Hayden Wright is 17^th at 125. Kaden Fetterolf is fourth at 149. John Wiley is third and Jake Moon in ninth at 157, Jordan Lomeli is sixth and Hayden Brown is 19^th at 165. At 184, Cole Olguin is 18^th and Bryce Milster is 21^st.  Omari Smith is ranked eighth at 197.
 
Dual Threat: OCU went 3-2 last week and now is 8-3 in duals this season. The Stars have defeated No. 7 Campbellsville, No. 13 Cumberland and No. 14 Central Methodist. They also shellacked Ouachita Baptist, which was ranked 23^rd in NCAA Division II at the time.
 
Checking in on WBU: The Pioneers are 8-1 in duals, including wins on the Nos. 17, 18 and 20 teams. Jayden Two Lance is the top-ranked WBU wrestler, rated ninth at 149 pounds. Four Pioneers are in the national rankings
 
Up Next: The Stars are scheduled to compete in the Missouri Valley Invite Jan. 23-24.
