OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City kept its season-long unbeaten streak intact on Tuesday with a 5-1 win over Williams Baptist.

OCU gave up a goal for the first time in five games but the match was already well in hand. Williams Baptist entered the game at 5-1.

"We were looking forward to this," said OCU Head Coach
Billy Martin. "The last couple of games, maybe haven't been so hard, but this game, we knew we'd be challenged."

Amelia Horsford had a brace to lead the Stars, coming off a hat trick in her previous game. She got the game-winner in the 13
th minute, using an assist from
Tatum Tallal.

Abby Russell made it 2-0 in the 35
th minute with an assist from
Saizlee Carlton and OCU took a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Yami Ponce gave the Stars a 3-0 cushion in the 55
th minute with help from Russell. Five minutes later, Horsford had her second goal with
Reese Roberts credited with the assist.

Valentina Martin got the Eagles on the scoreboard I the 65
th minute but OCU answered six minutes later with a goal by
Ali Daugherty.

The Stars limited WBC to four shots and held the NAIA's leading goal-scorer Yajaira Alvarado, without a shot.

Horsford and Tallal had four shots on goal for the game. OCU had 16 as a team with Russell and Daugherty testing the keeper twice while Ponce,
Kayleigh Haygood, Carlton and
Chloi Thurman had one shot on goal apiece.

The Stars play at Bellevue in Nebraska on Saturday.
