Women's Soccer Draws 1-1 Tie Against OLLU

SAN ANTONIO – The Oklahoma City University women's soccer team traveled to face the Saints of Our Lady of the Lake on Friday. OCU entered the contest coming off a 6-0 win against Southwest (N.M.) at home in the 2025 season opener.

How It Happened
Early in the 1st half, OLLU netted a goal at the seven-minute mark. However, 21 minutes later, OCU freshman Ali Daugherty connected on her first career goal. Reese Roberts recorded her first assist of the 2025 season, helping the Stars gridlock the game at one goal apiece. Although both teams combined for 12 shots in the second half, zero goals were scored. A key save in the 81st minute by Candela Blanco preserved the 1-1 tie for Oklahoma City. In the 86th minute, OCU had two shots on goal turned away by OLLU goalie Salka Hrafns. A late corner kick by Inka Silz followed the shots on goal by OCU, but the Stars' offense was unable to cash in on the corner kick opportunity.

  • In the last five matches played against OLLU, OCU is 2-1-2.
  • Blanco snared eight saves in the 1-1 draw. 
  • Six different stars recorded at least one shot on goal.
