OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University Head Men's Golf Coach Blake Trimble on Tuesday was named Golf Pride Grips NAIA West Region Coach of the Year.
 
Trimble was one of four NAIA coaches to be recognized, joining Chris Butler of Lindsey Wilson (Midwest and National), Brandon Miller of Keiser (South) and Scott Seymour of MidAmerica Nazarene (Central).
 
Trimble's Stars finished two strokes behind Lindsey Wilson in second place at the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship last month. Three OCU golfers were in the top 15 and earned All-Tournament honors.
 
The Stars claimed first place in six tournaments in the 2024-25 season.
