Stars Fall Into Winner-Take-All Final

COLUMBUS, Ga. – A rough first inning saw Oklahoma City fall behind 4-0 and the Stars fell to Southern Oregon, 6-0, in the penultimate game of the 2025 NAIA Softball World Series on Wednesday.

The teams meet again at 9 a.m. (Central) in a winner-take-all championship game.

It was the first time the Stars have been shut out since 2022 – which was the season OCU claimed the national crown.

Two first-inning errors led to four unearned runs for the Raiders. Emersen Heron (27-6) kept SOU off the scoreboard until the bottom of the sixth when two runs were charged to her.

OCU had four hits in the game, led by Carlee Mollet with two. Ayla Davies (37-5) struck out 10 batters for SOU.
