OKLAHOMA CITY—The Oklahoma City University Baseball team opened a three-game series against the Aggies of Oklahoma Panhandle State with a doubleheader on Friday night at Denney Crabaugh Field. OCU came into Friday with a 13-21 record and five games under .500 in Sooner Athletic Conference play. However, after sweeping Friday's doubleheader, the Stars earned two more wins for the 2025 campaign. The Stars started the series on the right foot, with Saturday being Senior Day for the graduating OCU baseball players.

The Aggies scored first with a Jackson Somerville solo-shot home run in the second inning. OCU quickly answered in the bottom of the second on a

During the third inning, the Stars busted the game wide open after jumping all over OPSU's starting pitcher. Braden Greene surrendered five earned runs on nine hits over three innings pitched.

Aiden Van Rensum. Following the triple,
Nic Bennett recorded an RBI on a single that scored Daniel. Bennett scored when his teammate, Brown, notched an RBI on a double. Lastly, in the bottom of the third,

The Stars added to their 5-1 lead when

OPSU attempted a comeback in the fifth inning after Ryota Kusumoto scored Kobe Morgan and Xavier Garcia on a double. Isaiah Halton proceeded to bring Kusumoto home on a SAC fly.
Ultimately, the Aggies' comeback bid fell short after
