The Stars held the Swedes in check behind strong pitching from Pitcher
Emersen Heron until Bethany tied the game at one run apiece in the 5
th inning. OCU's offense then took over the game and scored five combined runs spanning the 5
th and 6
th innings.
Tiffany Paul led the offensive charge in game one, going 2-for-3 with an extra base hit. On Tuesday, the senior backstop from Choctaw hit for the cycle with two home runs between the two games. Outfielder
Carlee Mollett also contributed with a big day of her own at the plate, going 2-3 in game one, including a run scored and an RBI. Mollett has amassed 10 hits over her last five games played.
OCU's speed on the basepath led to three stolen bases, which pressured the Swedes' defense. The Stars took advantage of five errors Bethany committed in game one of the doubleheader.
The Stars' pitching staff was dominant in both games.
Emersen Heron started the day off right for OCU, striking out seven batters en route to a complete-game victory. The senior from Edmond gave up zero walks, which further showcased her control of the strike zone in her outing.
OCU's defense did their part and kept the Swedes off the board until late in the game. The balance of offense and defense was paramount for the Stars' success.

Analise Rayburn – 2-2, 2B, 2 RBI, R, BB
Brynlee Alsip - W, 5.0 IP, 0 R, 2 H
Oklahoma City continued their strong play into the second game of the doubleheader. The Stars' offense tallied nine runs in three innings behind multiple extra-base hits, including three home runs. Starting pitcher
Brynlee Alsip took a no-hitter into the 4
th inning and made the most of the run support she received from her teammates.
The Stars wasted no time jumping on Bethany starter Jessie Garcia. Ana Ashford started the scoring off in the bottom of the first with an RBI single that scored
Tiffany Paul. The Stars' long bombs then blew the game open. In the 2
nd inning, Paul connected on a deep shot that scored herself and
Carlee Mollett.
Analise Rayburn smashed one over the centerfield wall in the 3rd inning, and her homerun was matched by Paul's second of the game.

Alsip was dominant for Oklahoma City inside the circle, throwing a complete game while allowing no runs on two hits. The right-hander from Edmond allowed minimal solid contact without issuing a walk, keeping the Swedes' bats in check throughout game two.
The day started slowly for the OCU bats, but they quickly turned on the power. The Stars' starting pitching allowed eight hits in the doubleheader and recorded a shutout in the second game on Tuesday. Offensively, OCU outscored Bethany 15-1 while recording a run-rule victory.
