Bellevue (1-3) took a 2-1 lead in the top of the sixth on a single to left by Logan Grant. OCU starter Tanner Ellis remained in the game until the end and tossed a scoreless top of the seventh to keep the Stars in it. Then in the bottom of the 7th, Oklahoma City (3-5) rallied with two outs as Aiden Van Rensum reached with second hit of the day followed by a walk from Jeff Martz. Kiraly's two-run double allowed Will Ellis to score the game-winning run from first base as Kiraly batted in his team-leading sixth secured RBI of the season.

Game Notes
  • With the win, Oklahoma City wins its second straight after dropping its previous three and defeats Bellevue by one run for the second consecutive game.
  • The Stars hold an opponent to two runs or less for the second time this season after doing so in the 2-1 loss in the opening game to start the season to Friends.
  • Aiden Van Rensum went 2-for-4 with a run scored and extended his hit streak to eight games to begin the season with his fourth multi-hit day.
  • Trent Kiraly's walk off double was his second extra base hit of the season. Kiraly went 1-for-4 at the plate while matching his season-high RBI total of two.
  • Despite finishing the game without a hit, Barrett Daniel extended his on-base streak to eight games to open the year.
  • Freshman Tanner Ellis delivered the second consecutive complete game by an OCU starting pitcher and the third overall this season. Ellis allowed two runs on five hits while striking out four in his third appearance of the season.

Game Summary
A nine-run second inning propelled the Concordia Bulldogs to a 15-3 win against Oklahoma City on Saturday afternoon. 13 batters came to the plate for Concordia (3-0) in the top of the second as the Bulldogs came up with four hits and accumulated four walks as three were with the bases loaded. Oklahoma City (3-6) was held scoreless with only three hits until the bottom of the sixth before a bases loaded walk, wild pitch and a Will Ellis groundout completed the three-run inning. Concordia added three more in the seventh to cap off its 15-run day as another long inning with eight coming to the dish faced the Stars sixth pitcher in Cade Kelsey who came in and got out of jam with no runs allowed.

Game Notes
  • Oklahoma City allows double-digit runs for the fourth time this season as the Stars drop their sixth game overall and second by a 12-run margin.
  • Barrett Daniel reached base for the ninth consecutive game as the Stars senior was the only one to have multiple hits in the game while scoring one of the three OCU runs. Daniel now holds the team lead with eight runs scored on the season as he ranks second in hits (10) and in runs batted in (5).
  • Aiden Van Rensum saw his eight-game hitting streak come to an end after going 0-2 before being pinch hit for in the later part of the contest.
  • Oklahoma City sent a total of six pitchers to the mound as the walking woes continued by putting 12 batters on base by way of the walk which ties a season-high with last Sunday's game against Clarke University.
  • None of the Stars six pitchers went longer than two innings as Spencer Biggerstaff, Nick Anaya and Cade Kelsey were the three Stars to not allow a run.
  • Ethan Rhodes went 1-for-1 in his eighth start of the season as the Stars shortstop hit safely for the fifth straight game.
  • Jeff Martz made his OCU debut on Friday night and remained in the starting lineup on Saturday as the junior tabbed his first double and run scored of the season.
Next Up
