PLAINVIEW, Texas – The Oklahoma City Women's Basketball dropped Saturday's road contest with Wayland Baptist after entering the final quarter trailing the #12 Flying Queens by single digits.

STAT OF THE GAME: Oklahoma City notched its season-high in total assists on Saturday as the team racked up 15 dimes surpassing its previous record of 14 set back on Dec. 5 against Oklahoma Panhandle State.
FIRST QUARTER: Wayland Baptist came out raining with a 12-0 start and reached up to a 13 point lead as Peyton North sank three shots from range scoring nine in the quarter.
SECOND QUARTER: The Stars entered the second quarter trailing by nine as the Flying Queens put together a 12-4 run and went up by as much as 21 points in the quarter.
THIRD QUARTER: Oklahoma City came out of the locker room firing on all cylinders as
Brooke Curry cooked up 10 points in the quarter on 2-of-3 shooting from range as the Stars outscored Wayland 21-13 to enter the final period down by nine.
FOURTH QUARTER: After
Cacie Gorman cut the deficit to two on a pair of free throws, Wayland Baptist heated up for a 14-2 run to pull away from Oklahoma City and win the game 76-60.
GAME NOTES
- After winning two in a row, the Stars setback on Saturday brings their record to 10-15 overall and 10-11 in conference play.
- Coming off a perfect night from the floor, Brooke Curry kept the hot hand with her second-highest scoring game of the season with 19 points and four rebounds. Curry shot 3-of-9 from downtown to make it the 14th game of the season the freshman has cashed in on multiple threes.
- Amaya Gordon found herself in double-figures for the fourth consecutive game scoring 16 points in 39 minutes of action while falling one rebound shy of a double-double.
- Jerzie Bryant played a big role in boosting the Stars assist total as the sophomore tabbed a single-game career-high with seven dimes while scoring six points on the night.
- Wayland Baptist earns the season-sweep over OCU as the Stars drop their 11th game in a row to the Flying Queens.
