OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City had its string of sweeps interrupted but the Stars won their third consecutive match with a 3-1 victory over USAO on Friday.

The Stars won 25-21, 22-25, 25-16, 25-15.

Grace Smallwood led OCU with 18 kills and 20 digs while
Marina Kalajdzic contributed 10 kills.
Natalie Adams had 51 assists, her third 50-assist night of the season.

OCU had 10 aces with Smallwood getting four and Adams adding three.

Defensively, OCU
Erin Mack and Kalajdzic were in on three blocks each. Joining Smallwood in double-figure digs were
Kaylie Marshall with 13 and
Ryan Leland with 11.

The Stars trailed 4-1 early in the first set but used a pair of 4-0 runs to take control before Marshall wrapped up the set with a kill.

After dropping the second set, OCU got out to a 5-1 lead in the third set and never looked back. Kalajdzic had a solo block for the set point.

OCU established dominance early again in the fourth set and never trailed.
Layla Olvera ended the match with an ace.

The Stars wrap up the regular season with the home finale, Senior Day and Homecoming when Mic-America Christian visits for a 1 p.m. match on Saturday.
