Five on the Floor: The Stars are sending five athletes to compete in the Carl Albert tournament.
Coty Sessions at 124,
Rayleigh Fisher at 138,
Makayla Munoz at 160,
Symphony Veloz at 180 and
Ella Murphey at 207. It is the season debut for Fisher and Munoz. Sessions went 4-1 in the freshman-sophomore division last weekend in Kansas. Veloz, also in the freshman-sophomore class, was 1-2 last weekend. Murphey placed second with a 2-1 record in the Open division last week.

Stars in the Polls: The women's wrestling team at Oklahoma City University moved up to 11
th from 14
th in the first regular-season poll released on Thursday. Individually, seven Stars are ranked.
Corin Lowe earned the No. 5 spot in the 145-pound division.
Natalia Posada is ranked sixth at 138 pounds.
Alexis Miller is No. 8 and
Sofia Abramson is No. 15 at 103 pounds.
Ella Murphey is ranked eighth at 207.
Bryce White is ranked 13
th at 131 pounds.
Makayla Munoz, competing at 160, is ranked 15
th.

The Field: The 19-team field ranges from junior college to NCAA Division I. Along with OCU, there are two other NAIA Top 25 teams in the mix, eighth-ranked Ottawa and No. 13 Wayland Baptist.

Previously on the Mats: Fourteenth-ranked Oklahoma City women's wrestling opened the season strongly at the Friends Falcon Open. OCU produced three runners-up and a pair of third-place finishes.
