DALLAS – LSU-Shreveport scored at the buzzer to thwart an Oklahoma City comeback and handed the Stars their first loss of the season on Monday, 73-72.

OCU was down 47-32 with 14:49 remaining in the game but rallied to take the lead, 72-71, with five seconds left when
Brian Alexander hit a driving layup. The Pilots scored at the buzzer, going the length of the court in five seconds.

Alexander led the Stars with 19 points, followed by
Jonas Carlisle with 17 and
Alphonse Muteba with 10. Muteba just missed a double-double, collecting nine rebounds.

The 2-1 Stars head to Nebraska this weekend for the Cattle Classic. OCU plays host Concordia at 6 p.m. on Friday and Hastings on Saturday.
