STAR OF THE SHOW: Freshman Taryn Cottrell put together a huge day for Oklahoma City helping lead the Stars to victory with a career-high 17 point performance on 50 percent shooting from the field while hauling in seven boards.

STAT OF THE GAME: Oklahoma City went 9-for-21 from downtown on Saturday afternoon tabbing the most threes made in a game all year with five coming from Brooke Curry, three from Cottrell and one from Jerzie Bryant. The nine threes surpasses its previous season-high of five which was set four different times this season.

FIRST QUARTER: After falling behind by five early on, Oklahoma City notched its first lead with 4:44 to play after a 7-0 as Amaya Gordon knocked down a jumped to make it 9-7. The lead went on to trade hands while Brooke Curry came out swinging by going 2-for-2 from range and finishing with eight points in the quarter as Oklahoma City held a two-point advantage at the quarters end.

SECOND QUARTER: A six minute OCU scoring drought allowed Southwestern Christian to jump back up in front and control as much as an eight point lead as Oklahoma City was outscored 17-12 in the quarter shooting just 4-for-18 from the field but would only trail by three entering the half after a clutch three from Taryn Cottrell just before the buzzer.

THIRD QUARTER: Oklahoma City regained the lead with 7:17 to go and never looked back as the Stars bolstered 16-2 run that gave OCU a 14 point lead. The Stars best 10-minute stretch of the night was highlighted by outscoring the Eagles 27-10 in the quarter where Amaya Gordon led the way with nine points while Curry, Cottrell and Bryant all knocked down a three each.

FOURTH QUARTER: Curry delivered another three right out of the gate to give Oklahoma City its largest lead of the night at 60-43 just 19 seconds in the period. Despite the big advantage, Southwestern Christian began to put the pressure on and crawled all the back to make it a four point game with a minute to play. Down the final stretch, Oklahoma City closed out the game from the foul line as the freshman Curry finished off her big night by going 4-for-4 in the final 19 seconds of the contest to secure the Stars 74-66 win.
