CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The Oklahoma City University women's wrestling team wrapped up the NWCA National Duals with a strong showing on the second day, finishing 2-0 and finishing 13th in county.
The Stars opened the day with a commanding 29-18 victory over Saint Mary's University, winning six of the nine contested matches. They carried that momentum into their second dual of the day, defeating conference rival Missouri Baptist 28-22 in a tightly contested matchup.
The team's success was fueled by standout performances from Alexis Miller, Makayla Munoz, Ella Murphy, and Destiny Campbell, who all went undefeated throughout the tournament. Each wrestler not only went undefeated but also secured a victory against nationally ranked opponents.
Congratulations to the Stars on an impressive showing at the National Duals! With this performance, OCU has set a strong foundation as they continue their season next weekend ageist Carl Albert State College.
