How it Happened
Oklahoma City took 30 minutes since kickoff to get on the board before
Thomas Brulay netted his team-high third goal of the season to start off the Stars evening. After coming out of the locker room at the halftime break Oklahoma City broke it open with
Ruben Fahiya's third goal of the year.
The Stars didn't stop there as the home squad erupted for six more goals with a total of seven total in the second half carried by
David Imbert. Imbert went off for a hat trick after
Ruben Fahiya and
Jovanny Nsonga knocked in a goal apiece while Imbert rallied for an OCU record of three goals in under two minutes to cap off another Oklahoma City record of four goals in five minutes.
Games Notes
- Oklahoma City took the most shots in a game (38) since Sept. 16, 2021 when the Stars took 34 shots against Bacone.
- David Imbert notched his second-career hat trick as he did so 366 days ago against Bethany in the 3-0 win over the Swedes.
- Ruben Fahiya and Marco Alongi move tied for in goals on the team after each of them netted one home in the contest.
- Thomas Brualy notched his team-high fifth assist after dishing out three in the season-opener and adding two more dimes tonight.
- Thursday night Oklahoma City kept the opponent off the board for the third time in three games to open the season. This was the second of the three that concluded as an 8-0 decision.
