How it Happened
Jovanny Nsonga opened up the scoring with three straight goals of his own in 13 total minutes. OCU tagged on two more goals in the first half from
Thomas Brulay and
Ruben Fahiya who also opened up the second half with a goal each. Leading 7-0, the Stars were only 50 percent of the way to their total on the night. From the 60th minute to the 69th
David Imbert,
Marco Alongi and
Jordan Da Costa added goals to expand the lead to 10-0. Oklahoma City continued to pour on with four more goals in four minutes to finish out the game with another one from Alongi along with
Bernardo Duarte and
Felipe Pansica on penalty kicks as well as
Jayson Riley who finished things off for the 14th point of the night.
Notes on the Game
- Oklahoma City topped its season-high in goals scored after two of its wins this season came in an 8-0 decision.
- The 14 goals scored were the most since Sept. 16, 2021 where the Stars defeated Bacone 20-1.
- Oklahoma City had eight different scorers on the night while Nsonga, Alongi, Fahiya and Brulay all came away with multiple goals.
- Jovanny Nsonga led all scorers with his first career hat trick as all three goals came in the first half of play.
- Marco Alongi and Ruben Fahiya net two goals apiece giving each of them with at least one goal in three of the four games played this season.
- Coming off a hat trick, David Imbert added another goal while dishing out four assists which was the most by a player in a single-game since 2018 where James Beattle passed out four of his own.
