OKLAHOMA CITY - The OCU men's golf team secured its first win of the 2024-25 season in the U.C. Ferguson Classic as the host team to begin the new year.

Tres Hill and Michael Robson finished in the top of the field as Hill led the tournament through the first two rounds before Northwestern's Jacob Medina put together a round of six-under par on Tuesday to become the individual winner beating out Hill by two strokes. 

Hill saw his best round come in the first 18 holes where the senior shot a 64 (-7) while finishing up the tournament at -12.

Michael Robson held down the third spot after going 11-under over 54 holes and having his best round on day two in the final 18 holes where he was able to string together four straight birdies on the back nine to solidify the second-highest score of round three with a 66 (-5).

Philipp Perzl became the third Star to finish over par after his best round came through the first 18 holes after shooting a 67 (-4) and finish in 17th place at one under par. 

Directly behind Perzl was Carter Ray finishing 18th by shooting an even par while Lorenzo Santinelli completed the tournament at +1 after bouncing back from a four-over performance in round two by putting together a 69 (-2) in the tournaments final round. 

Oklahoma City was able to outlast Texas Wesleyan after entering the final round leading by two strokes. The Stars finished the tournament -29 while the Rams shot -22.
