SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - The OCU women's track and field team secured a second place finish over the weekend at Glenn W. Black Stadium at John Brown University.
Oklahoma City claimed wins in four events as three Stars finished in the top four of the 5000 meter race paced by a first place finish from
Louise Cocking who dominated the race at 18:44.23.
Cailen Jolley picked up a win in the 800 meters at 2:17.67 earning her fourth win of the 2024 season.
OCU garnered its other two wins in the field events with
Daryn Batts and
Fiona Wilson winning their competitions. Batts set a personal record with a 39.57 meter mark in the hammer throw to take first out of five competiting.
Wilson claimed the win in the javelin throw for the second year in a row with a distance of 34.53 meters securing her first win of this season.
