STARS OUTLOOK
Oklahoma City comes in to Tuesday's matchup as the fifth highest scoring team in the NAIA while allowing just four goals through nine games. The Stars are off to one of its best seasons in program history with no losses through nine games. OCU has outscored its opponents 43-4 which includes three matches of having eight goals or more with its season-best being 14 against Randall, the most scored in a game by the Stars since Sept. 16, 2021. Oklahoma City is off to a 3-0 start to conference play after making its way back in a tough battle against Southwestern Christian where the Stars defeated the Eagles for the first time in seven year 2-1. Following the win, Oklahoma City went on the road for the first time in a month where it picked up a 3-1 win over Texas Wesleyan before shutting out Oklahoma Panhandle State on Saturday 3-0.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Marco Alongi
The Stars leading scorer enters Tuesday with four straight games with a goal as his season total sits at 10, ranking second in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Alongi has strung together three multi-goal games while having one of his best matches of the season against Randall where netted a pair of goals and dished out his only assist.
David Imbert
Imbert got back into the scoring column on Saturday for the first time since Sept. 3 with his sixth goal of the season tying for second on the team in goals scored. Imbert got off to a hot start this season headlined by breaking a program record with hat trick in under a minute and a half against Our Lady of the Lake. Following his hat trick performance, Imbert handed out a career-best four assists which was the most by an OCU player in a single-game since 2018 where James Beattle passed out four of his own.
Thomas Brulay
The Stars captain Thomas Brualy has been the heart of the Stars squad. After sitting out last year, Brualy returned with force as he currently holds the fourth most assists in all of the NAIA with eight. Brulay has put together three games with multiple assists with his season-best of three coming against Bethany in the season-opener. Brualy scored his fourth goal of the season on Tuesday of last week at Texas Wesleyan tying for third most on the team. Brulay's goal was his first since Sept, 3 against Randall where he scored twice in the 14-0 win.
Jovanny Nsonga
After seeing Imbert take sole possession of second in goals scored, Nsonga tied it right back up with his sixth goal of the season coming late in the second half on Saturday against Panhandle. Nsonga scored for the first time since his hat trick against Randall on Sept. 3.
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Wayland Baptist enters the contest 6-4-1 overall and 1-1-1 in conference play. The Pioneers come off a 3-0 win over Nelson on Saturday for its first SAC win after tying with Central Christian 1-1 and falling to MACU 3-0 in the Pioneers conference opener. Wayland has outscored its opponents 22-12 averaging two goals per game with its season-high of six coming against Dallas Christian back on Sept. 11. The leading scorer for the Pioneers is Jamol Williams who comes in with eight goals on the year. Williams has scored in each of the last two games while have a pair of multi-goal games which came in the season-opener against McMurry where he netted two before notching a hat trick on Sept, 20 against Arlington Baptist. Pioneers keeper Alex Neri enters with 24 saves, the fourth most among SAC goalkeepers. Wayland Baptist is 0-3 this season when allowing more than one goal this season as every other contest they have held the opponent to one goal or less.
SERIES HISTORY
Oklahoma City holds a 7-5-3 record over Wayland Baptist as last season's contest ended in a 0-0 draw. The last time the two schools met on the OCU campus was in 2022 where the Stars came away with a 4-0 win as
