OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Volleyball team honored seven seniors on Saturday afternoon as the Stars came away with a three-set victory over Central Christian.

Set 1
Central Christian was able to jump out to a 3-2 lead and that was all they could hold as Oklahoma City went off on a 9-1 run as
Grace Smallwood delivered two kills while
Jaiden Downey served up a pair of aces to help push OCU to an 11-4 lead. Oklahoma City was able to climb its way to biggest lead of the set at 22-12 after a 7-2 run where
Emma Nickerson made a big impact with a pair of kills. The Stars closed out the set on back-to-back kills by
Maddie Edwards and
Gabrielle Fjeseth to earn a 25-16 first set victory.
Set 2
Oklahoma City started out with an 8-3 advantage after scoring five consecutive points. Central Christian trailed by as a little as six prior to the Stars taking off for an 8-1 run as senior
Michela De Stefano sent three kills to the floor helping grow the lead out to 18-8. The run didn't stop there as Oklahoma City cruised its way to finishing off the set a 7-1 run as
Ruby Kelley and Nickerson shut things down 25-11.
Set 3
The Tigers came out in the third set with their claws out as Central Christian put together a 7-1 run early in the set and eventually working its way to a 10 point lead after scoring seven straight points. Central continued to its heater by reaching its largest lead of the day with an 18-6 control. Oklahoma City immediately flipped a switch as the team refused to quit rattling off the next nine points in the midst of a 14-2 run. Tied up 20-20 Central Christian took last lead before
Rylee Steward fired off the next two kills before Downey served up the ace to seal this immaculate comeback winning 25-21.

- Oklahoma City wraps up its third season consecutive sweep and ninth of the season.
- The Stars move to 13-11 on the year and 13-5 in conference play earning its sixth win over the last seven contests.
- Oklahoma City tallied its second most kills of the season with 11 total, two behind its best of 13 set against Southwestern Christian on Tuesday.
- The Stars had an efficient attacking day by posting its second best hitting percentage of the season at .337.
- Ruby Kelley ended the day with a game-high 12 kills on a .458 clip, her third-best hitting percentage of the season.
- Michela De Stefano led the way with four aces tying a season-high.
- Jaiden Donwey matched De Stefano with four aces of her own setting a season-high bringing her season total to 25 which ranks third best on the team.
- Oklahoma City moves to 15-0 since 2017 against Central Christian sweeping nine of the 10 matchups.
