OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City women's soccer team faced rival Mid-America Christian on the road and suffered a 1-0 loss to the Evangels after a goal in the 78th minute gave OCU its first loss in conference play.

How it Happened
MACU came out strong on the attack with four shots in the first 15 minutes while OCU saw its first shot come from the foot of
Abby Russell at the 17 minute mark. Russell's shot was the only cnance on-goal the Stars had with six total shots coming in the first 45 minutes.Â
Neither team found the back of the net through the first half and throughout most of the second half before the Evangels broke through with a long shot from Brae Baker that found the corner of the net to put MACU on top. After the goal, Oklahoma City put two of its three second half shots up in the 86th minute coming from
Reese Roberts and
Ashley Russell but failed to put one home as MACU came away with the 1-0 victory.

- Oklahoma City suffered its third shutout of the season with its first loss in conference play bringing its SAC record to 3-1-1 with an overall record of 7-4-1.Â
- Mid-America Christian put up 17 shots with eight on-goal, the most by a Stars opponent this season.Â
- Oklahoma City took nine total shots with and tied a season-low with only two coming on-goal.Â
- Reese Roberts attempted a team-high four shots tying a season-best without any shots on-goal.
- Gemma Harvey tallied seven saves in the contest which sets a season-high for the Stars sophomore keeper.Â
- The loss gave OCU back-to-back losses to MACU after the Evangels defeated the Stars 1-0 with a goal in the 75th of play.Â
- The series record moves to 10-8-1 in favor of Oklahoma City dating back to 2008.
