OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University fell 5-1 to Southwestern Christian on Friday afternoon at Eagle Field at Dolese Park.
The Stars moved to 18-17, 10-6 in Sooner Athletic Conference baseball on the season. Oklahoma City got on the board first as
Noah Kang scored on
Chad Pike's fielder's choice RBI.
The Eagles tried to turn two to end the inning but failed to do so. That one run would be all OCU could amass in the two-hour and 10-minute game.
Southwestern Christian hit a two-run homer in the sixth to take a 2-1 lead and added three more in the seventh.
OCU amassed six hits with
Jesse Fonteboa getting two of the Stars' six. Fonteboa, a senior from Las Vegas, went 2-for-4 on the day.
Barrett Daniel went 1-for-4 with a double in the ninth.

Hunter Lenochan and
Aiden Alexander had the other Star hits.
OCU saw three pitchers in the game with
Andrew Limbaugh getting the start, Limbaugh, a junior from Edmond, Okla., fanned one batter over 6.1 innings.
Noah Kang and
Grant Harrison came in to finish the game.
OCU will finish up their series with SCU with a doubleheader starting at noon Saturday at Eagle Field at Dolese Park.
