OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University took down Southwestern Christian 7-5 and 3-1 in their twin bill matchup on Tuesday evening at Ann Lacy Stadium.
The Stars, ranked eighth in NAIA softball, improved their record to 22-6, 9-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
Lexi Duff hit her first home run of the year while collecting the win pitching in the first game.
Duff, a senior from Lone Grove, Okla., majoring in biochemistry, picked up four strikeouts and the win.
Analise Rayburn continued her strong freshman year with three hits and two RBIs. Rayburn, a freshman from Yukon, Okla., studying business administration, has smacked five homers and picked up 24 RBIs this season.
Tiffany Paul gave the Stars a 2-0 lead in the third with a squeeze bunt single that scored Mason.

Brooklyn Mason and Duff provided the Stars with two hits apiece as they tallied 11 total.
Kaitlyn Jones picked up two RBIs on a triple in the third. OCU had three triples in the game as Radacy, Jones and Mason all found the gaps.
The Stars scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth as Duff homered then worked a three-pitch inning in the sixth as Jones caught each fly ball to put the Eagles away.
Shelbey Cornelson came in to pitch in the ninth and picked up her first save of the season, striking out the last batter.
Cornelson got the start in the second game. Cornelson, a senior from Tuttle, Okla., majoring in exercise science, allowed five hits, one run in seven innings of work while picking up six strikeouts to bring her season total to 100.
Radacy,
Kamryn Garvie, and
Carlee Mollet led the Stars with two hits each. Mollet gave OCU the lead with an RBI single in the second inning. Jones supplied one more one in the third.
The Stars play Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) on Friday. The doubleheader starts at 2 p.m. at Ann Lacy Stadium.
