DALLAS - Oklahoma City University fought back to defeat UNT Dallas 59-56 on Monday night at the Trinity Basin Athletic Complex.
Leading the OCU charge was
Brandon Jackson with 19 points as the Stars moved to 12-11, 10-7 (SAC) on the season.
After trailing by as many as 13 early in the second half, a pair of
Dravon Clayborn free throws gave OCU the lead with 5:54 remaining. Their largest lead of the game was four points at 58-54 with a minute left. Clayborn's steal with 13 seconds left lead to a made free throw to secure the win.
Brandon Jackson, a junior human performance major from Westmont, Calif., had seven rebounds, 19 points, and one steal, while Clayborn had 11 points, four assists, and nine rebounds.
Kori Guest, a senior criminal justice major from Tulsa, Okla., was the final Star in double figure scoring with 11 points and nine rebounds.
OCU forced 16 turnovers and swiped six steals in the contest.
The Stars head to El Reno to play Wayland Baptist (Texas) on Thursday at 7:45 on the campus of Redlands Community College.
