OKLAHOMA CITY - OCU volleyball wraps up the regular season schedule on a high note with a sweep over Science & Arts as Ruby Kelley leads the way with a double-double.

The first four points to begin the match were traded between each side until OCU put together a 6-1 run as Ruby Kelley, Hannah Grundy, and Rylee Steward all pitched in with kills to give the Stars an 8-3 lead. USAO made its way back to tie it at 10-10 but freshman Jaiden Downey delivered back-to-back aces to help lead a four-point swing for the Stars. OCU began to pull away by outscoring the Drovers 11-4 as Grundy and Steward collected two kills each to close out the set for a 25-18 win.
Set 2Â Â
After falling behind early on in set two Oklahoma City flipped a switch and turned up a notch as the Stars countered an 11-2 run as multiple Stars pitched in with kills including freshman Natalie Adams as well as Emma Nickerson to give the Stars a 16-6 advantage. USAO began to crawl back into it, cutting the deficit to six as the score sat at 19-13. Kelley and Steward each tallied kills that halted any signs of a comeback from Science & Arts as the Stars closed out the second set by outscoring the Drovers 6-3 to come out victorious in set two 25-16.Â
Set 3Â Â
OCU came out firing once again as the Stars began the third set taking a 5-1 lead after Gabrielle Fjeseth ignited Oklahoma City with a kill of her own. Leading by one the Stars took off on an 8-2 run after a pair of kills by Kelley gave the Stars a 16-9 lead. Holding a lead of 20-13 OCU finished off the match outlasting USAO 5-1 as Steward, Kelley, and Nickerson all contributed kills to win 25-14 and earn a sweep over Science & Arts.Â
GAME NOTESÂ Â
- Oklahoma City made a total of 40 kills on a new season-high attack percentage of .407. Science & Arts tallied 29 kills on a .110 hitting percentage.Â
- Ruby Kelley earned her 10th double-double of the season as Kelley rattled off 14 kills with 11 digs to also go along with two aces.
- Rylee Steward followed up right behind Kelley with the second-highest kill total of the match with nine while totaling three blocks.Â
- Natalie Adams tied her season-high assist total in a three-set as Adams notched 33 assists making it the ninth time this season Adams has gone over 30 assists.
- The Stars claimed their eighth sweep of the season making it the most sweeps in a season since 2021. Â
- Â OCU earns the season-sweep over Science & arts after taking down the Drovers in three sets back in their previous meeting on Sept. 26.
- The Stars remain undefeated all-time against the Drovers after winning its 14th match since the series started in 2016.
