Three minutes later Ashley Russell attempted a header shot which was saved by the Tigers' goalie, Katelyn Beckman. Central Christian shot its first of only two in the first half at the eleven-minute mark, this shot was saved by the Star's goalie, Irene Gonzalez. The Stars struggled to score for the majority of the first half attempting nine shots before Cara Compton finally struck her first goal of the season off an assist from Piper Nichols. That goal came at the end of the first half at the 30-minute mark which was the last attempt in the half for OCU.

Second Half

Looking to carry the momentum into the second half Devin Jansing attempted two goals at the 50-minute mark as both went wide. Ashton Seratte followed suit by attempting a goal two minutes later, however the Tigers goalie Katelyn Beckman was able to save this one. In the 81st minute, the Stars found the back of the net for the second time in this match on a goal from Amelia Horsford, tallying her second goal of the season. Abby Russell scored just two minutes before the end of the second half, bringing her season total to six goals. This goal came just seconds after Russell's previous attempt was saved by Beckman.
