First Half  Â
Oklahoma came into Saturday's contest coming off a big win over USAO and looked to stay on the winning track. The Tigers defense clamped down on the Stars as OCU was only able to get off three shots in the first half. Jordan Da Costa had a try that went wide of the net, and Jayson Riley had a chance in the 25th minute with a shot on goal only to be saved by the keeper. Riley had another attempt, but it came out wide as the Stars could not score in the first half of play. Central Christian had more than double the chances OCU had, taking eight shots in the first half but only one came on goal and was saved by Stars goalie Danilo Vilani. Neither side could find the net in the first forty-five heading into the locker room with no score. Â
Second Half  Â
Coming out of the locker room Da Costa had two early chances to score but both were taken away by keeper Rodolfo Ramirez. Midway through the second period Central Christian made its way on the attack as Camilo Penafiel sank the first goal of the afternoon to put the Tigers on top 1-0. Oklahoma City was only allowed two more shots in the final 20 minutes of play and neither came on goal. The Stars took five total shots in the second half and came up empty on all of them.
