OKLAHOMA CITY - The OCU men's soccer team finish Tuesday afternoons match with Texas Wesleyan in a draw as neither side could secure a goal through 90 minutes.

First Half
Oklahoma City earned a shot to score early as David Imbert took a chance 47 seconds into the contest, but it was blocked by the Texas Wesleyan defense. The Rams controlled almost all of the possessions in the first half, taking nine shots with four being on goal. Stars goalie Danilo Vilani kept the Rams off the board with four saves in the first half alone. OCU took only three total shots without getting any on goal. Jordan Da Costa took a shot in the 33rd minute of play but was also blocked. Late in the first half Nathan Fergeson took a header try that went wide. Texas Wesleyan had many chances to score while obtaining most of the possession but came up empty to finish the first forty-five with no score.
Second Half
The Stars came out in the second half on an aggressive attack and held the majority of the possessions. OCU took seven shots in the second half however could only one to go on goal. Texas Wesleyan had a couple of chances to score late but Vilani stood strong denying any chances from the Rams side. TWU took five shots in the second half but only had two come on goal. OCU took four of its five shots in the final 10 minutes concluding with a try from Da Costa in the 88th minute that went high beyond the goal. In the final seconds, Texas Wesleyan found a man upfield and got out on the break going one on one with Da Costa. Down inside the box, the senior Da Costa knocked it away as time expired to save any late heroics from the Rams side. The match concluded in a 0-0 draw as neither team could break through and put it in the net.
Games Notes
- Oklahoma City took 10 total shots with only one attempt on goal. Texas Wesleyan finished with 14 shots and had six come on goal.
- Marco Alongi led the Stars in shot attempts with three and had the only on-goal shot of the game for OCU.
- Jordan Da Costa took next to the highest two while Jayson Riley, Nathan Fergeson, Bernardo Duarte, and Keita Kishino all had one attempt each.
- Danilo Vilani had a stellar performance guarding the goal as Vilani picked up six saves which tied his second-highest total of the season.
- The tie was the third time in the all-time series that the two schools have ended in a draw.
- Entering the match, the Stars had won the previous three meetings and taken the last five out of six meetings.
- The all-time series record remains in favor of Oklahoma City as the Stars hold an 11-5-3 advantage.
