First Half

Both teams traded possession and owned control in the first half as each side had a handful of shots through the period. OCU took its first shot 23 minutes in as Jordan Da Costa went for the goal but was saved by the keeper. SAGU was able to strike first and break through as Alex Castro came up with the ball after a shot by Pedro Matoso was rejected away by Danilo Vilani. However, Castro came up with it for a clear shot that gave the Lions a 1-0 lead.

Second Half

The Stars came out a completely different team as Marco Alongi got things going for OCU as Alongi picked up the blocked shot of Jayson Riley and launched it past the keeper. Alongi once again made his presence felt after stealing away a pass from a SAGU defender and going one one-on-one with the Lions goalie sending a shot to the left corner and into the net to give OCU its first lead of the day. Into the 74th minute, OCU was granted a corner kick as David Imbert sent a ball inside the box that was gathered by the captain Olly Clifford which he put past the goalie for his first goal of the season as the defender extended the OCU out to 3-1. Oklahoma City didn't stop there as both Duarte brothers got into the mix with Henrique Duarte scoring his first goal of the season in the 82nd minute, followed by Bernardo Duarte a minute later giving OCU a commanding 5-1 victory.
