SILOAM SPRINGS, ARK. - The Oklahoma City men's soccer team pull of the upset over John Brown on the seed as Keita Kishino nets the game winner in the first half to give the Stars a 1-0 victory.

First Half
OCU had a handful of shot attempts in the early going but had yet to get a shot on goal through the first 30 minutes of play. JBU also took its chances and came close to netting one home with two shots on goal in the first 12 minutes however the Stars keeper Danilo Vilani rejected both attempts to keep the Golden Eagles off the board. In the 34th minute, Keita Kishino received a pass from Ryan Moon as Kishino took an attempt from beyond the box that got past the hand of the JBU keeper and fell into the net to put OCU on top. JBU had one last chance under a minute to go as Oscar Carballo took a shot that hit off the crossbar coming as close as the Golden Eagles had gotten all half.
Second Half
The shots came pouring in from John Brown in the second half as the Golden Eagles collected 17 shots in the second half alone. The Stars defense turned up a notch by only allowing JBU three shots on goal as Vilani stayed strong and guarded the goal with perfection. John Brown controlled the majority of the possession in the second half as OCU only took one shot as it came from the foot of Jovanny Nsonga which was blocked by the John Brown defense. With just minutes to play John Brown took three final chances two of which were blocked and the other fell wide to left as OCU was able to hang on and pull off the upset against the two-seeded Golden Eagles.
GAME NOTES
- Oklahoma City took only six shot attempts and had only one shot on goal which happened to be the game winner.
- John Brown took a record number of shots with 27 coming against the Stars with six shots attempted on-goal.
- Keita Kishino netted the lone goal of the day as Kishino knocked in his fourth make of the season to win the game for the Stars.
- Danilo Vilani pitched his sixth shutout of the season and tallied six saves in the contest.
- With the win, OCU pulled off the upset over the two-seeded Golden Eagles to move on to the SAC semi-finals.

The Oklahoma City men's soccer team moves on to the semifinal round in the SAC Tournament as the Stars will be back in action on Monday, Nov. 3, against USAO in Chickasha, Okla.
